Greenville Memorial Health System Plans for Opening of Its New “Wound Care Advantage Program” In Early 2008

GREENVILLE SC – September 2007 - Care for patients suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds will soon be available through The Wound Care Advantage at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Slated to open in early 2008, program planning and development is now underway.

The Wound Care Advantage will offer a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to wound care and provide advanced wound healing techniques, wound assessment, testing and treatment for individuals suffering from acute and chronic non-healing wounds through the Wound Care Advantage e-wound program. e-wound is a service of Greenville Memorial Health System in collaboration with Wound Care Advantage.

The Wound Care Advantage team is comprised of specialty trained nurses and a comprehensive group of physicians such as podiatrists, general, vascular or plastic surgeons, endocrinologists, infectious disease, and pain management specialists. Through Wound Care Advantage’s proprietary e-wound program, Greenville Memorial Hospital will operate, staff and oversee its own program with tools and consulting services from the Wound Care Advantage team.
